Holidays to South East Asia

Our South East Asia holidays covers a vast area, ranging from the sophisticated island nation of Singapore to Malaysia and the wildlife of Borneo; the beaches of Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia; and the cultures of incredible Indochina (Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia).

Singapore is one of the world’s most visited cities, with a fascinating blend of Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian cultures. It is a very safe, clean and efficient city where modern skyscrapers, shopping malls and offices sit alongside the old buildings of Chinatown, the Kampong Glam Muslim Quarter and the distinctive sights, sounds and scents of Little India.

Thailand is one of the best beach destinations in the world, with soft white sands, palm trees and clear calm waters. The chaotic capital of Bangkok has wonderful Buddhist temples and opulent palaces, whilst in the less-visited north you can historic Chiang Mai, with its ancient temple ruins, Asian elephants and jungle. You can also learn to cook delicious Thai food.

Malaysia has Kuala Lumpur as its capital, with a mix of colonial buildings, busy shopping districts and skyscrapers, such as the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. Malacca is a melting pot of cultures that has earned it UNESCO World Heritage Site recognition. Rugged Borneo is the third largest island in the world, administered by Malaysia and Brunei in the north, and Indonesia to the south. Its lowland tropical rainforests are some of the most ancient and biologically diverse on earth and provide sanctuary to endangered orangutans, as well as many other endemic forest species. It has many stunning beaches, and turtles nest on Lankayan Island from June to September. Sipadan Island is famous for diving.

Vietnam is known for its war history, bustling cities with French colonial architecture, Buddhist pagodas, beautiful national costume, water puppets, elaborate coffee rituals and ubiquitous ‘pho’ (rice noodle soup). The immense network of Cu Chi tunnels, used by Viet Cong soldiers, can be visited from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and the Mekong Delta, whilst the capital of Hanoi has a huge Communist-era marble mausoleum honouring its former leader. Cambodia is famous for the incredible stone temple complex at Angkor Wat, beautiful beaches and violent Khmer Rouge history. Phnom Penh is the capital. Less developed Laos is a mountainous country traversed by the Mekong River, with a strong Buddhist culture. It has many beautiful temples, waterfalls and hill tribe settlements.

All our South East Asia holidays can be tailor-made to your exact requirements, so if you have any special requirements, or need wheelchair accessible accommodation due to limited mobility, just let us know.
